About The Beer Lab

Welcome to The Beer Lab – we are a micropub based in Heswall on the Wirral peninsula. We have been trading for just over two years now and have built up an excellent reputation locally as purveyors of quality craft beers and fine ales.

Due to the success of our shop and the demand for good quality beers, we decided to expand and have developed this website so that customers can order beers online and have them delivered directly to their door.

We regularly stock over 50 different types of beers and alcoholic beverages, available in cans, bottles and even kegs! There is a wide range of different beers and beverages showcasing the UK, Europe and USA’s best brewers. Our range includes styles such as: IPAs, Porter, Stout, Sour, Golden, Pale, Blonde, Trappist and even options for buying beer in bulk.

Our range of beers and alcoholic beverages come from a number of different suppliers and breweries and this allows us to keep updating our website and adding new products. We work alongside a number of breweries, both locally and nationally who are award winning and real artisans in the brews they create. By working closely with our suppliers like this, it allows us to continue to keep our website fresh and updated with the new and exciting beers regularly. To stay up to date with when new products and lines are added to the website, be sure to sign up to our newsletter above.

In addition to our wide and varied range of craft beers, we also stock a selection of ciders, wines and non-alcoholic beers. These are available to purchase both here on our website and also in our pub. Additionally, in our pub, we also have a number of other spirts and mixers available, such as whisky, gins and vodka.

As previously mentioned, we are a local micropub and at the core of our business is being a part of our local community, Heswall. Many of our customers have now become regulars and will attest to the community feel we have built up since opening the micropub. So if you are new to the area or just visiting Wirral, even if you’ve lived here a lifetime please do pop in and say hello. More details of our opening hours can be found on our contact and visit us pages.

Needed a lockdown beer but fancied something special. Ordered and delivered a fine selection of Trappist and... specialist beers on the same day! Great communication when I made a noob mistake on their web site while ordering. Cheers!read more

Great selection of both craft beer and cider. Caught the end of the Six Nations game at the weekend on the TV screen... they had. Dog friendly too, which is a big plus.read more

Now on my second pint both have been very well kept. First was a pint of Pearless Pale 3.8% the second a pint of Big... Bog Quagmire 6%. Lovely Friday evening with a nice hum of punters enjoying some great beers, cider, wine and gin.read more

What a great small quaint beer lab just on a main road in the centre of Heswall on the Wirral. The owner Ryan and his... colleague Sam give you a lovely welcome. Trust me guys this is a different kind of beer experience but it is really nice. It's not just for men.....girls there are plenty of find for your choice at £3.30 for Bombay. It's a kind of home from home experience with the opportunity to sample beers you cannot get in your local pubs.read more
